Medical Assisting Program
Students in SCC's Medical Assisting program receive hands-on experience in a lab setting and complete clinical rotations in local physicians' offices. Many graduates have become employed within three months of completing the program.
The medical Assisting program is to prepare medical assistants who are competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains to enter the profession.
* To become a student of the Medical Assisting Program, you must first enroll at Spartanburg Community College.

Medical assistants work great hours, potentially in a doctor's office setting where you would perform administrative office procedures, as well as basic clinical and laboratory tasks that help keep the office running efficiently. Medical assistants regularly interact with medical staff and patients and manage various tasks simultaneously.
