How to Register for Classes

It's easy to sign up for your classes at Spartanburg Community College. Simply make an appointment with your advisor or login to your MySCC Portal. You must be accepted and enrolled and Spartanburg Community College before you're eligible for registration. Read on for detailed instructions and review current and upcoming registration schedules.

    1. Login to the SCC Portal.
    2. Click on Self-Service under Colleague Applications.
    3. Click on Student Planning.
    4. Go to Plan and Schedule.
    5. Click on Advising Tab (your advisor’s name and email will be listed).
    6. Request an appointment by emailing your advisor or Compose a Note in the Advising Tab.
    7. Click Save Note, then click Request Review once you finish your note in the Advising Tab.
    8. Check your SCC email and the Advising Tab for a reply from your advisor.
    9. Meet with your advisor and register!
    1. Login to the SCC Portal.
    2. Click on Self-Service under Colleague Applications.
    3. Click on Student Planning.
    4. Click on Go to My Progress.
    5. Click on a desired course name.
    6. Click Add Course to Plan.
    7. Click Select a Term.
    8. Select the appropriate term from the dropdown.
    9. Click Add Course to Plan.
    10. Repeat this process until all classes are added.
    11. Click on Student Planning.
    12. Click on Plan and Schedule.
    13. Click on Advising.
    14. Ask your advisor to review your plan for accuracy using the Compose a Note box.
    15. Click Save Note and then click Request Review.
    16. Check your SCC email and the Advising Tab for a response from your advisor. After review, they will release you to register for the approved courses.
    17. When you're released to register, click on Student Planning.
    18. Go to Plan and Schedule.
    19. Scroll to the appropriate term.
    20. Click View other sections.
    21. Review the available sections and click on your chosen section to add.
    22. Click on Add Section to place that section on your schedule.
    23. Repeat these steps for all approved courses.
    24. Click on Register for each course. Once registered, the courses will turn green on your weekly schedule.
    25. Review your course schedule for accuracy.
