Spartanburg Community College (SCC) is thrilled to extend an invitation to the community for the 2023 SCC Fall Festival, a vibrant celebration set to take place on Saturday, October 21, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the College’s Giles Campus in Spartanburg.
The festival promises a delightful array of activities, entertainment, and learning opportunities for all.
Prospective students and community members will be invited to walk the “Trick-or-Treat Trail” through the campus that will highlight various programs and services SCC offers.
Trick or Treat Trail Highlights:
- Prospective students and guests can try their hand with various advanced manufacturing technology simulators such as welding simulators, a table-top CNC machine, and even robotics programmers
- Early Care and Education will host a station where visitors can make homemade musical instruments
- The School of Business will conduct soda taste-testing for students to learn about market research
- Horticulture will help guests play putt-putt on our Campus Green for prizes
- Our award-winning Ascend Literary Magazine Club will lead pumpkin carving
- Culinary Arts will host vegetable sushi demonstrations
- Health Sciences will hold a variety of games
Guests will also be able to enjoy a unique shopping experience as the campus will host more than twenty vendors -- including several SCC alums -- offering an assortment of sweet treats and baked goods, arts and crafts, skincare products, and much more.
As no good festival is complete without delicious and varied food options, the SCC Fall Festival will feature a vast assortment of food trucks, classic festival concessions, coffee beverages, and a mobile wine bar offering beer, wine, and other specialty drinks.
While guests learn about the College and its programs, shop with vendors, enjoy attractions and dine on tasty food, they can rock out to the tunes provided by three live bands! Night Affair, a dynamic Funk and R&B band will pump out infectious grooves and soulful melodies, Funcle Band will bring out an electrifying mix of rock and pop, and DJ Kurious George will round out the party with pop and radio hip-hop tracks.
After guests have had their fill of learning about the wide-variety of educational opportunities that await them at SCC, loading up on craft sweets and other small business goods, and jamming out to local music, they can head home with the newest four-legged member of their family as the Spartanburg Humane Society will have dogs available for adoption on campus!
